A quick search found a few options for making Flash movies with linux.
- Ming is a C library for generating flash movies . Check out the page of links to sites using Ming here.
- Flame is a work in progress, intended to be equivalent to Macromedia Captivate.
- Openoffice Impress can export presentations as Flash although animations are not yet supported. It could become a good platform for a Ming extension but I don’t know that anyone is working on that.
I used OOImpress to change a powerpoint file into this flash presentation about political capital. All the pictures are taken by me and watch out for the hidden meanings. In the original, there are animations and audio which Impress was unable to encode. Hey Gary, maybe you could help me remake this with the animations back in.
