The Perambulator

In an effort to cover my hosting fees I created a google adsense account. With three different content management applications, posting the ads on my sites was no easy matter. Here is a rough guide:

Gallery2
Follow instructions here replacing “end” tags with ‘, a single apostrophe.
Create local template directory. Create adsense tpl file. Copy album, photo, and sidebar tpl files to local directory. Edit desired tpl file.

Zen Cart
Install google_adsense_sidebox. Copy three files to three separate template directories. Edit adsense php file with adsense script. Control placement with layout boxes controller in the admin panel.

Wordpress
Install sidebar widgets plugin. Copy adsense script into textbox. Position textbox with widget. This works for the main page but does not appear to have an option for single posts. Have to edit single.php. Add list item and insert script.
